Oklahoma Office of Rural Health Grant:

The Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality (OFMQ) is now working jointly with the Oklahoma Office of Rural Health through a grant to offer support services to Critical Access Hospitals in our state.  Since 1972, OFMQ has assisted hospitals to evaluate and improve healthcare as well as understand the changing requirements for hospital reporting.  We aim to provide efficient, professional services to help your hospital understand the quality measures and meet the reporting requirements of the various initiatives.

OFMQ has a long history of providing hospitals with reliable support on data abstraction, Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR) and Outpatient Quality Reporting (OQR) program measures and requirements, National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) assistance, Health Information Technology, and electronic Clinical Quality Measures (eCQMs).  Our goal is to help you get the right data, submitted to the right place, at the right time.

We can assist your staff with the Medicare Beneficiary Quality Improvement Project (MBQIP) measures by training them to use this data to drive quality improvement activities and improve patient care.  All of our support services can be fully customized to meet the needs of your CAH.  Please contact Corie Kaiser, Director, Oklahoma Office of Rural Health at Corie.Kaiser@okstate.edu or by phone at 405-840-6505 to see if your hospital qualifies to receive financial assistance with these services.

For more information on these support services, please contact Donna Piatt, Hospital Quality Improvement Coordinator at dpiatt@ofmq.com or 405-302-3212 or Deb Yellseagle, Director of Quality Improvement at dyellseagle@ofmq.com or 405-302-3275.

The Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality (OFMQ) is now working jointly with the OK Office of Rural Health through a grant to offer Quality Reporting and Peer Review services to Critical Access hospitals in OK.

Peer review is a requirement through the Conditions of Participation with CMS for all hospitals that receive Medicare reimbursement.  OFMQ has performed peer review services since the 1970’s for such organizations as; CMS through both the Medicare and Medicaid contracts of OK, HEDIS, OK Department of Corrections, OK State Board of Medical Licensure & Supervision, and Baylor Scott White Health Systems.

We have a long history of working with rural hospitals and understand their unique challenges.  We offer expert medical peer review services with a quick-turn-around time.  Our full-line of Review Services personnel provides quality, comprehensive, objective determinations using evidence-based standards to ensure that the reviews provided are entirely fair and unbiased.  We have a diverse reviewer panel, composed of American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS®) board certified physicians experienced in addressing complex medical issues, to ensure that the medical specialty of the reviewing provider is matched equally and fairly to the scope of the care being reviewed.  We can customize the peer review services according to your hospital’s needs.
