With OFMQ, the latest and most accurate information to reach your QI goals will always be at your fingertips. Although HIE is not often seen as a Quality Improvement tool, it can be a tremendous resource in improving the quality outcomes of your patients.

Implementing and maintaining a QAPI program does not have to be a complex process or a full-time job. Our experts provide onsite technical assistance and educational offerings for organizations that must implement a Quality Assurance / Process Improvement (QAPI) program.
While much of this impact stems from providing educational resources and staff-level training, OFMQ’s quality improvement projects provide immediate, direct impact to patients and nursing home residents across the state. OFMQ embarked on long-term care and nursing home quality improvement initiatives in 2002, and in the past 20 years has served nearly all 300 nursing homes in the Sooner State.
Through focused quality improvement initiatives, OFMQ has aided in improving the quality of care for residents and advancing culture change practices. Our statewide impact has resulted in reduced staff turnover, enhanced state survey scores and ultimately, improved the quality of care for thousands of Oklahoma nursing home residents.
Our focus on QI doesn’t stop in long-term care! Through partnerships with the Indian Health Services and Tribal Health entities across the state, OFMQ has assisted our partners by providing direct technical support to improve diabetes education and reduce recidivism through optimization of electronic health records. Quality isn’t just in our name, it’s what we do.
